Colva Beach

One of the oldest and most well-known beaches in South Goa, just a short drive from Fatorda. Wide stretches of white sand, plenty of beach shacks for lunch, and an easy, relaxed vibe that's less crowded than the beaches further north. If you only have time for one beach near us, this is the easy pick.

Benaulim Beach

A quieter neighbour to Colva, a few minutes further down the coast. Good for anyone who wants the same white-sand South Goa experience with fewer crowds and a slower pace — popular with people staying longer rather than on a day trip.

Margao Municipal Market

Right in the heart of Madgaon, this old market is worth an hour just to walk through — spice stalls, fish and vegetable sections, and yes, other traditional Goan sausage sellers too. It's a genuinely good way to understand the food culture the sausages you're eating actually come from.

Palolem Beach

A bit further south (around an hour's drive), but worth the trip if you have a full day to spare. Its crescent shape and calmer waters have made it one of the most photographed beaches in Goa, and it has a completely different, more laid-back character than the beaches up north.

Old Goa: Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral

If you're willing to drive north for half a day, Old Goa's UNESCO World Heritage churches are genuinely worth it — the Basilica of Bom Jesus houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier, and Se Cathedral is one of the largest churches in Asia. It's a completely different side of Goa from the beaches, and gives real context to the Portuguese history that shaped dishes like Goan sausage in the first place.
